Looking back on the looks I’ve created this past year , I’ve noticed that I have a thing for interesting sweaters. I think a sweater is a great piece to invest in as it can be dressed up or casualy dressed down, and there are so many shapes and designs to play with.

A lot of designers’ “it” products are often sweaters displaying a special print, pattern, (think Givenchy’s dobberman, Kenzo’s tiger, eye or cloud, etc). So if u want to embrace the latest trend you can always go for a fancy designer sweater.

To me the most interesting sweaters come from designer who play with shape, colors or materials. I’m thinking Alexander Wang and his use of leather, Juun J and their artist collaborations and of course Neil Barrett.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ve probably noticed how fond I am of Neil Barrett’s designs, especially his latest A/W 13 collection – you can check my special post about Neil Barrett in the “Designer Focus” section.

Of course stores like Zara draw inspiration from the great designers, therefore I’ve also found interesting pieces there, mixing different textures, color, adding patches of faux-leather.

Here are pictures of some of my favourite sweaters. Let me know what yours are and if you like wearing sweaters too !

Instafashionably yours,

H
