Florals. For spring. Groundbreaking.

 

This famous quote from the evil fashion boss played by Meryl Streep in “The Devil wears Prada” is pretty accurate season after season.

 

Indeed, floral print seems to always find its way of infusing spring/summer collections. The difference this season is perhaps the bigger place it’s taking in men’s collections: Givenchy, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Gucci.. to name a few.

3.1 Phillip Lim SS14

I was inspired to showcase a floral print themed outfit when I found this sweater at Zara and paired it with my Les Hommes trousers (from FW13).

It is a pretty bold look and I could understand that not everyone would feel comfortable wearing such strong prints, however I think in the right context and properly balanced, it can look really good.

I wore two different kind of shoes: sneakers (Nike Blazers), and boots (Marc by Marc Jacobs) , giving the look two different vibes.
