Fabric. Texture. Elements that give another dimension to a piece of clothing, apart from its color, shape, design. Today’s look is about the simplicity of black and white spiced up by a beautiful burgundy color and a special velvet tie.
As you know I like to go for monochromatic looks, so I paired these burgundy pants with a lavander shirt and burgundy tie. However I blocked this “camaïeu” with a tweed-like black and white jacket (from Zara).
This looks is indeed about interesting fabrics which leads me to talk about the tie in more details: it is a beautiful YSL tie made of silk and velvet. When tied, you can see the top in silk and then below the velvet part. I think it ads a very sophisticated touch in comparison to a traditional tie. The strong color is vibrant and beautiful and lights up the black and white jacket.
