SOPHISTICATED AFTERWORK WALK

IMG_5050

There’s no better feeling during summer than leaving the office after a long day and going for a walk. If you live in a city with a charming old town, then that’s the perfect spot to hit. And doing it in style, of course. For example, wearing an emerald suit ?

Dear Readers,

The beauty of styling an outfit is trying to make a perfect match between different pieces. They need to have things in common but at the same time elements of contrast, a touch of sophistication and a zest of fun. If you get all these ingredients right, you end up with a harmonious but not plain look.

This is what I tried to achieve with today’s look.

It is based on the contrast between two interesting colours: burgundy and emerald green.

The emerald suit is from the “Limited Edition” collection by ZARA, which provides garments very superior in quality than the usual clothes. It is also very well cut.

The burgundy touch comes from these great J.Lindeberg brogues. They look at the same time very classic and modern, thanks to the vibrant colour.

(find similar brogues here, here and here )

The rest of the look plays with contrast around these 2 colours, like this print shirt from Zara with dots of red/burgundy, or a paisley motif pocketsquare that combines both colours.

I completed the look with my favorite accessories: Hermès clic bracelet, Bottega Veneta silver necklace and Illesteva Leonard shades.

Here is the look, shot in the adorable old town in Geneva:
