INFASHIONITY has been selected with 2 other male fashion bloggers from Switzerland to collaborate on a cool project and contest with H&M Switzerland, upon the launch of the new Modern Essentials #selectedbydavidbeckham collection.

Have a glimpse at the collection, relive my experience spending a day at the H&M showroom and shooting street style in the streets of Zürich and help me WIN A CONTEST !

Dear readers,

The interest in menswear is definitely increasing and it can be felt from many sides: brands, media, blogs.. are all focusing more and more on what men put on their back. And I certainly ain’t mad about it!

I was very excited to be asked by H&M Switzerland to participate in a special “Modern Essentials Day” at the brand’s swiss showroom in Zürich.

The concept: 3 male bloggers, discovering the new Modern Essentials collection, then creating outfits out of the collection and getting photographed by a street style photographer. Our pictures are now online in a facebook album.

Dear readers, this is the part where I NEED YOU

The two bloggers and I are actually competing in a contest. If you want to help me win, visit the facebook album here and like pictures of me ! I could win a few gifts to share with you !

Let’s go back to the collection and the day I spent.

MODERN ESSENTIALS – #selectedbydavidbeckham

For spring summer 15, the swedish brand reveals a collection of key pieces for a man’s wardrobe. And these pieces have been especially selected by none other than the famously stylish british ex-football player, David Beckham. On top of being married to designer Victoria Beckham, he has always been known for his personal sense of styles. He already has a bodywear collection with H&M, and this time he has picked his favorite pieces to be part of the new menswear collection.

SHOWROOM VISIT

I got the chance to preview the collection when I visited the H&M showroom.

I was immediately drawn to a few key pieces. I saw two different inspirations in the collection. One was quite urban, with colorful t shirts, a linen bomber jacket or a denim jacket. The second inspiration was a little preppier, with pieces such as a navy blazer, a crisp white shirt and square-patterned trousers. Therefore, when it came to picking two outfits out of the collection, I quite naturally created one look for each inspiration.

Before going out to shoot in the streets of Zurich, I had some fun trying on a few outfits from other upcoming collections, and enjoyed visiting the showroom.

STREET STYLE

We were lucky to have Andrea Monica Hug as our street style photographer for the day!

It was extremely cold, and a bit of a paradoxal situation as we were shooting spring summer outfits under a freezing winter weather ! But the whole H&M team came along and supported us, and it was all great fun, which made us forget about being cold.
